International Federation on Ageing (IFA) Influenza Stakeholder Showcase Project (“Showcase”)
The IFA has published a series of documents as a result of the participation of OSSCO© and several other groups across Canada. Vaccines4Life website is an executive summary of the Showcase consultation from May 2022, a consensus statement based on the collaborative work achieved during the Showcase, and a policy brief directed to health authorities advocating for increased efforts to vaccinate Canadians of all ages against influenza.
To aid civil society organizations, such as OSSCO©’s, in their considerable efforts to increase awareness about the benefits of influenza vaccination the IFA has also designed an infographic mapping out the different options Canadians have when it comes to being vaccinated against influenza. In particular, IFA highlighted the option for adults 65 years old and older to request an enhanced influenza vaccine to further increase protection from the flu.
