Mentorship and the Value of a Multigenerational Workforce

In a recent survey, AARP Research has found “7 in 10 workers say they like working with generations other than their own, and the majority agree that both younger and older workers bring a set of positive benefits that enhance the workplace environment”.

A multigenerational workforce allows the opportunity for older workers to share their skills and knowledge and be valued for their skills as mentors. The study found mentorship plays a key role in promoting a positive attitude toward an age diverse work environment. In addition to making the workplace more productive, younger workers bring creativity and different perspectives to the work environment.
